| Gala Apple Tree and Elberta Peach Tree Combo Pack: Looking for a healthy snack for your kids? Something to grab and eat on the go? Then choose our "kid friendly snack combo", a Gala apple tree and Elberta Peach. Elberta peaches are freestone, easy to eat with yellow flesh very rich and sweet. Skin golden yellow flushed red where exposed to the sun. Elberta peaches ripen late July, right in the middle of the summer when your favorite place to be is outside. Pass one to each of your kids and all their friends, get them outside and watch them drip juice, make a mess and laugh a little. Run in the sprinklers and everybody neat and clean. Gala apples have yellow skin with red blush, flesh that is firm and crisp, sweet and juicy with excellent flavor. The apples store well and take summer heat. Gala's size, mellow flavor and thin skin make them a perfect choice for kids. Your apples will ripen late August to early Sept, well after the peaches so your fresh fruit will be all summer long. Be sure to include a fresh apple in your kid's lunch box. Elberta peach trees need 800 chill hours, Gala apple 500. Both trees shipped potted in their original soil and container to ensure the best possible start when planted in yard or garden. |
The Meyer Lemon Tree is the most popular of all the citrus. In 1908, Mr. Meyer imported the first Meyer Lemon tree from China, where it is grown as a dooryard tree. Meyer Lemon is compact enough even for urban balconies and limited-space gardens. This lemon tree will begin bearing large, juicy, thick-skinned fruit at an early age! Without any fruit, this evergreen would be attractive enough to grow as an ornamental. The leaves are lush and glossy, the small white flowers often bloom indoors in late winter, just when the house needs some color and scent. The flowers are intensely fragrant, and the tree has a habit that is upright and well-branched. Depending on the size of the container and pruning you give it, this tree could reach 8 feet high and 10 feet wide, but can also be kept smaller. Container size is very important. Choose a container that is ample for the tree. A 10-15 gallon container will allow for a 10-feet-tall tree under perfect conditions. Under average conditions, a tree can reach 7-8 feet in a pot this size. |
Satsuma mandarin orange is like candy on a tree. This mandarin variety produces sweet, seedless fruit with delicate flavor that ripens around Christmas time. The fruit is great eaten fresh, added to fruit salads, or even eaten as dessert. The tree only gets to about 10'to 12', but can be easily managed in a container with clipping, kept to any desired shape. As an added benefit, these seedless mandarins keep well on the tree. Consider a satsuma mandarin orange tree as a gift. |
